Persimmon pie preparation

Well wash and dry the lemon. Grate lemon peel. Prepare the dough: in a larger container kill the egg, add sugar, lemon zest and butter and mix it all together into a smooth mixture. In another bowl sift the flour and stir into vanilla sugar and baking powder. Then slowly add the dry ingredients into a smooth mixture and knead all together into dough. Turn dough in foil and for 30min put in refrigerator.

Meanwhile wash Persimmon, clean, peel and cut into pieces. Put them in a large bowl and mix with sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, breadcrumbs and sharp.

Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Remove dough from refrigerator and roll out to 5mm thick. Grease baking plate and put pie dough into it. Press good dough against the pan bottom and walls. Cut away excess dough and knead it again and make long rolls from ​​it from which we will create a network. In a baking tray then stuff with filling of Persimmon Fruit, align it and cover it with the network from the rest of the dough.

Push pan into a heated oven and bake pie 35 minutes. Remove baked pie from the oven, cool it, cut it into pieces and spread evenly on a serving platter. Serve to the guests.

Additional tips to prepare persimmon pie

It is best to use organic lemon peel, which is not treated with chemicals. If you do not have organic lemons, dip lemon for a few minutes into boiling water and wipe well to remove the wax. Before serving, you can sprinkle the persimmon pie with powdered sugar.
