  • Initial weight loss is largely due to water loss, so you will need to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration
  • The process of burning calories requires an adequate supply of water to operate efficiently

Dehydration slows down the process of fat burning

  • Dehydration causes a reduction in blood volume, which in turn causes a reduction in the supply of oxygen to the muscles, so you may feel tired.
  • Water regulates our body temperature, which means that sufficient amount of water can make us feel more energetic during exercise. Water also feed our muscles.
  • It improves metabolism, which helps digestion. Fiber and water goes hand-in-hand to allow a daily bowel movement.
  • It helps in weight loss because it wash away by-products of the decomposition of fat. Drinking water reduces hunger, or acts as a very effective appetite suppressant. Water also has no calories.
