Everybody knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This fills us with the energy we need for a good start of the day, and stimulate metabolism. But now experts have discovered that can help children to even better results in school.
Students, who every day eat a healthy breakfast are more likely to be more successful in school than those who do not eat breakfast, showed the latest survey of British universities Cardiff.
The study, which involved 5,000 pupils aged from 9 to 11 years, it has been shown that children, who have eaten cereal, toast, fruit or dairy products for breakfast, are more than twice as successful in school assignments than those who did not eat breakfast. Those who, in addition to a healthy breakfast throughout the day also eat fruits and vegetables performed much better in the school.
Although academics have been associating the morning meal with improved efficiency of the brain, a researcher Dr. Graham Moore of Cardiff University says, that this study has produced the strongest evidence so far, that breakfast can affect the cognitive abilities. ” There was a strong link between eating breakfast and better results at school among pupils. In addition, it has been shown that there should be a healthy breakfast, ” he explained, adding: ” Prospects for achieving above-average ratings were twice as high for those students who ate breakfast. ”
It did not matter whether the student eat breakfast at home or school. It was vital that in morning was eaten the first meal of the day. It turned out also that the learning abilities of students did not increase, if the children for breakfast ate crisps or sweets or were the same as those who did not eat breakfast.
